Professor Aye Thida
The Department of Medical Education has been founded in 2018 according to the new organization setup of the University. Professor Aye Thida has been assigned as Professor of Department of Medical Education on 15th August, 2018.She has served as a teacher at Department of Biochemistry since 2001. When she was promoted as associate professor of biochemistry in 2012, she was assigned as secretary of the Medical Education Committee. This committee is previously responsible for faculty training and continuing professional development programs. She has been taking part in the medical education activities since then.
The vision and mission is to set the high standards of medical education and continuous professional development opportunities for healthcare professionals and offer the medical trainees an excellent educational experience to create safe and competent future doctors.
The Department of Medical Education works hands in hands with the different disciplines in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. There is also a Core Curriculum Committee which oversees the medical program.
We recognize that our teachers are our greatest resource to enable high quality learning. To ensure the quality and standards of medical education, the regular faculty training programs are delivered by Department of Medical Education in collaboration with Allied Medical Universities both nationally and internationally.
