Medical Education Unit

The Medical Education Unit of the University has been in existence since 1974. The unit has a main committee which has three sub-committees. Teaching Sub-committee, Information and Technical Sub-committee, and Research and Development Sub-committee. The following are the members of the main committee.

DUTIES OF THE UNIT

To evaluate current teaching practice at University of Medicine 2
To collect information regarding new tools, techniques and methods being used elsewhere in the teaching of medicine
To develop new and better tools, techniques and methods applicable to the teaching of medicine
To evaluate the newly developed tools, techniques and methods
To recommend the general user for the evaluated tools, techniques and methods, which were found to be significantly better than those being currently used in Myanmar

Under the Medical Education Unit, there are three sub-units, namely; the Computer Unit, the Photographic Unit, and the Audio-Visual Unit.
